ANDICOM is organized each year by CINTEL, Telecommunications Research Center of Colombia
[Centro de Investigación de las Telecomunicaciones de Colombia], whose mission is to promote the
development of Telecommunications and Information Technology. CINTEL members include
telecommunications operators, universities and government agencies. Its board of Directors is
chaired by the Colombian Minister for Communications.
CINTEL objectives include: the study and analysis of emerging technology trends and their
dissemination and implementation; providing spaces open to all sector actors for discussion and
analysis of economic, market, social, political and technology issues affecting the industry
development; promoting projects of the sector’s interest; promoting the use of specialized
technical assistance; and providing information on telecommunications development in the country
and the world.
